We ran in to Mezzaluna on a rainy evening in Oaxaca and were pleasantly surprised by the meal. Our server, Alex, was wonderful and very accommodating. He recommended a wine from Mexico that we really enjoyed. He didn't make us feel rushed and we sat enjoying ourselves for hours. The pesto pasta dish was delicious, as was the pizza and salad. Beautiful indoor space to enjoy a rainy evening with friends.

Hands down! This is the best pizza in Santo Domingo Center. The pasta dishes are also delicious. If you would like to view the city, I recommend to eat on the roof.
To all visitors please don't pass this place up. I honesty got tired of eating the traditional Oaxacan dishes in one day..lol -

We popped in for a bite last night and we were thrilled because we were turned away at several places that were hosting Christmas dinners. There was a really good band, singer, pianist, and drummer. We ordered the ensalata with tomatoes and goat cheese and the Quattro carne pizza. Everything came out quickly and tasted good. The best part was this herb and oil mixture that was served with bread prior to the salad. It was amazing, I would slather it on everything! I asked what the ingredients were but it was super busy and didn't catch them all. It was almost a cross between chimichurri and pesto, with capers added. So good, I'd go back just for that! Apparently there is a terraza that is lovely according to other reviews but we weren't aware of it as that would be our seating preference.

5-Star location; 2-Star food; 1-Star service/price. Sitting on the roof during Dia De Los Muertos was awesome and the only benefit of extremely slow service. We saw two processions and 3 rounds of fireworks before we got the bill (about 2.5 hours). The kids pepperoni pizza saved the day and gets the food stars. The Gnocchi in pesto was just balled up mashed potatoes and had zero firmness. The mojito was watered down and luke warm. End of the day the worst and most expensive meal of our trip.

Rooftop dining with a view of Santa Domingo. What more could you want? Well, absolutely delicious pizza when you need a break from delicious Oaxacan food. The waiter could not have been nicer, despite our lack of Spanish. We'd definitely return here.
